Students will learn basic theater terminology, staging and choreography through theater games and classes. The final performance of Disney's 101 Dalmatians (Kids) will be held on Friday, July 2nd at 12:00 pm for friends and family in a 115 seat art theatre.
This JCT program will provide your teen with the knowledge to one day become a counselor. They will work directly with the camp staff, assist with preparing activities, and will learn about supervision during these activities. The program will provide both hands-on and individual /group training experiences. The ages for signing up will range from 13 to 15. There is limited enrollment at both locations. Before registering, you will need to schedule an interview with Sean Poulin at spoulin@cityoffrederickmd.gov.
Join us for some summer fun at the City of Frederick Playground Programs! We offer many programs including arts and crafts, sports, music, swimming*, environmental education, and many more! The summer program will operate under the latest COVID-19 regulations, and each location will be limited to 25 participants.
The Talley Day camp program will be available to children from ages 5 to 12 (must be five by the session start date). Each session will have a different theme in which most sports, arts and crafts, games, and special events will be centered around. Activities available each session will include games, sports, swimming (1 time per week), special events, off-site trips (once per session), and many more!
Students will precede to this class that focuses on tactical strategies of foil and a greater understanding of the rules. They will learn foil blade work, footwork, an understanding of reffing, proper movement, and open bouting on electronic scoring equipment.
