As events return to the Frederick community, The City of Frederick knows there are many questions regarding events and event preparations given the ongoing and ever-changing pandemic safety regulations. To aid event planners and coordinators with their questions, The City of Frederick will host an Event Planner Conversation at 4PM on Thursday, May 6, 2021, to provide information, share reminders, and answer questions. A representative from the Frederick County Health Department will also be in attendance.
Excel in the essentials of Git with this fundamentals course! This Essential Git training class will cover what you really need to know about Git. The course will introduce the fundamental elements of Git, the use case behind each feature, and how you can use Git effectively, covering each command progressing in a logical flow. You will also learn how to use the GitHub portal, where you can collaborate with other developers and participate in a project where you will apply everything you learned in the course. Who should attend: Programmers, Software developers, App developers, Security architects, Anyone who writes code or tracks changes to files
Classes for intermediate youth tennis players who have taken tennis lessons before and want to continue to develop their skills. Sessions consists of a six week combination of tennis lessons and match play with other players of similar skill sets.
Cover the history world of the sword with this fencing class! Students will get a basic understanding of foil and rules. They will also have the opportunity to fence using the same style of equipment used in modern Olympic games. Ages 9 and up.
This classes, ages 13 to adult, will focus on learning the fundamentals of tennis in the beginner class as well as having fun. Once proficient in serves, volleys and groundstrokes, they will move into intense tennis drills and match play with intermediate players class.
Students will focus on tactical strategies of epee, and understanding tempo and timing in this class. Students will learn epee blade work, footwork, proper movement, and open bouting on electronic scoring equipment.
