The pandemic and social upheaval of 2020 brought issues of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) into the national consciousness in an unprecedented way. Moving forward, businesses and organizations must create workplaces that support, develop and enhance the work and lives of all employees. Rather than viewing DEI as an uncomfortable topic to be avoided, businesses and organizations can embrace the positive opportunities, value, and higher-level understanding that comes with doing the work. In this interactive and practical seminar, attendees will:
Understand and apply the definitions of diversity, equity, and inclusion
Learn the concepts and tools of psychological safety and trust-building as precursors to inclusion
Understand the business and innovation case for a diverse and inclusive workforce
Review the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission laws and guidance on prohibited employment policies and practices
Create a learning and action plan to foster inclusion practices in the workplace using seven catalysts
