On 08/31/2012, members of the Directed Patrol Unit were conducting surveillance of Mullinix Park. OFC. Meyer was advised by another officer of two subjects that were consuming alcoholic beverages within Mullinix Park. OFC. Meyer and other officers approached the subjects and placed them under arrest for possessing/consuming alcohol within a City Park The first subject was identified as a Loretta Lynn Bohle 11/21/1973. The other subject was identified as a Craig Steven Jackson 08/03/1964.
Both Bohle and Jackson were placed under arrest for possession/consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a City park and transported to Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
Frederick municipal ordinance 6-8 prohibits the possession or consumption of intoxicating beverages while in city parks.
The Frederick Police Department is committed to addressing quality of life issues within the city. The department will continue to partner with city residents and business owners in furtherance of this goal.
