Polling Place Change for General Election
Frederick County voters who reside in Precincts 02-001 and 02-002 will have a new polling location for the General Election on November 6, 2012.
The polling place is being changed from the old Lincoln Elementary School, Building A, to the new Lincoln Elementary School, 200 Madison Street, Frederick, Maryland. The change is due to the fact that the old school is now closed and the new school offers better accessibility, parking and space for voting. Approximately 3,600 registered voters in Precincts 02-001 and 02-002 will be affected by the change. Each will receive a new voter registration card in the mail shortly, listing the name and address of the new polling place.
Frederick County residents who still wish to register to vote in the November 6, 2012 Presidential General Election are reminded that the deadline for voter registration is 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16. In order to become a registered voter, individuals must be a U.S. citizen, live in Frederick County, and be at least 18 years of age on or before November 6, 2012.
Voters are further reminded that October 16 is the deadline to make any changes to their name, address, or party affiliation for the General Election. Registered voters can check to see if their registration information is correct by checking the Board’s link to the polling place locator at www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/elections. Changes can be mailed or faxed to the Elections Office or made online.
For more information, contact the Elections Office at 301-600-VOTE (8683) from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
