Collision between motorcycle and passenger car.
On 07-29-12 at approximately 2026 hrs. Officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to a personal injury accident at the intersection of Key Parkway and Willowdale Drive. Upon arrival it was determined that a motorcycle had been involved in a collision with a passenger car at the intersection. The motorcycle was travelling South on Willowdale Drive and struck a passenger car that was Northbound and turning West onto Key Parkway. The motorcycle operator sustained apparent serious head injury after being ejected from the bike. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. The driver of the passenger car was not injured in the accident. Emergency personnel treated the motorcycle operator at the scene of the crash. That subject was stabilized and removed to the MSP hanger by ambulance for transport to shock trauma via MSP helicopter. FPD accident reconstructionists were called to the scene and are currently investigating the accident. The motorcycle operator is currently at Shock Trauma in Baltimore and is listed in serious but stable condition.
