In recognition of Weatherization Day, the Department of Housing and Human Services in The City of Frederick is proud to announce a day of community engagement, education, and support on Monday, October 30, 2023.
Weatherization Day is an annual nationwide initiative aimed at raising awareness about the benefits of weatherizing homes to increase energy efficiency and lower utility costs. The City of Frederick is committed to helping its residents save money and reduce their environmental impact by providing valuable resources and information.
On this awareness day, the Department of Housing and Human Services will deploy teams to various locations throughout the community to offer free supplies, tips, and resources to enhance home efficiency. Residents are encouraged to stop by these locations to learn about weatherization techniques, receive free supplies, and gain insights on how to make their homes more energy-efficient.
