The Frederick Police Department is requesting assistance from the community with the identification of a robbery suspect.
On 07-17-2012 at approximately 04:19pm a subject entered the 7-11 store located on the corner of East 5th street and North East Street. The subject approached the counter with two cans of iced tea. As the clerk opened the cash register the suspect reached into the cash draw and removed a sum of U.S. currency. There was a brief struggle between the clerk and robbery suspect during this interaction. During the robbery there was no weapon displayed and the clerk was not injured. The suspect left the store and fled South. Based on eyewitness accounts it is believed that the suspect got into a white Ford Escape.
The suspect is described as a white male, baseball hat, dark sunglasses, gray t-shirt, light colored shorts (please see photo attached to press release). Please contact Det/Cpl.
