Best Places to Work Nominations now open

“A Workplace that Inspires the Industry"

Nominations are open for the 2023 Frederick County Best Places to Work Awards with a focus on workplaces that inspire the industry.

The Frederick County Office of Economic Development, Frederick County Workforce Services, City of Frederick Department of Economic Development and the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce will hold the annual Best Places to Work awards celebration in person at the Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ (ERUCC) Downtown Community Room at 15 West Church Street on July 25, 2023 from 5:00pm-6:30pm.

Any Frederick County business can submit a nomination online at https://form.jotform.com/230786173593061

Nominations will be accepted from April 1st through April 30, 2023. Winners will be featured either in the August issue of Frederick Magazine or in their online publication and on social media platforms.

Companies are evaluated on a variety of criteria, including employee compensation and benefits, workplace culture, human resource metrics, and special employee engagement programs. Applicants are encouraged to coordinate with their Human Resources Manager or other leadership staff to ensure the application has all relevant and up-to-date requested data included. Only one nomination form per company is needed. New this year: a winner will be awarded from each of Frederick County’s largest and growing industries. These industries include Retail Trade, Hospitality and Food Services, Healthcare and Social Assistance, Skilled Trades, Technology, Bioscience, Manufacturing, Transportation and Warehousing, and Business Professional Services.

The leadership of the three partner organizations agree that “For more than two decades, the Best Places to Work program in Frederick County has recognized the most innovative and forward-thinking employers who prioritize their employees' well-being and foster a robust workplace culture. The event showcases businesses that employ creative strategies to attract and retain top talent, ultimately contributing to the economic prosperity of our community.”
