City seeks feedback on North Branch Trail project

Number 1

The City of Frederick is seeking resident feedback on a trail project that will allow people to more easily travel between downtown Frederick and neighborhoods to the northwest part of the City

The North Branch Trail Project will develop a 3.1-mile Shared-Use Path, more commonly referred to as a trail, that will serve one of the fastest-growing areas of the City of Frederick. The path, which will be designed to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, will be intended for a variety of users such as pedestrians, bicyclists, wheelchairs, recreationists and more. This trail will be a paved 10-foot-wide path that will reduce traffic and driving demand by allowing people to easily move from Downtown Frederick to northwestern parts of the City.

This prokect is currently in the design phase, and conceptual alignment and alternatives are under development. The City is asking for resident feedback, which can be provided at the project homepage:

The city will continue to identify opportunities for public involvement including attending community events, advisory meetings, and holding future public meetings.  If you have questions, comments, or need assistance, please contact:  Mr. David Edmondson, PMP (301) 600-1884 or
