At 10:38 a.m. on October 15, 2022, officers of the Frederick Police Department (FPD) responded to a report of a shooting in an apartment at 90 Waverley Drive in Frederick, Maryland. Officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered first aid until EMS arrived on scene. EMS subsequently transported the victim to an area hospital.
Officers quickly determined that this was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the community. At this time, the investigation is ongoing, and FPD is not releasing the victim's name or condition.
