Detectives of the Frederick Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred on Sunday afternoon.
On August 29, 2022, at 12:31 PM, the Frederick Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the Hill Street Skate Park, located at 100 Hill Street, in Frederick City, in reference to a shooting.
The officers on scene located and provided medical care to one adult male with a confirmed gunshot wound. The male was transported to an area trauma center where he is in critical condition. Through the preliminary investigation, this incident is not believed to be a random act of violence; however, it is an ongoing investigation and no additional information is being released at this time.
