At approximately 2:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21 2022 patrol officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to the 400 Block of North Market Street after hearing what sounded like gun fire.
Upon arrival officers determined an incident did occur in which a firearm was discharged. Later, FPD received notice from an area hospital that one victim was shot and suffered non-life threatening injuries and arrived at the hospital.
This is an open and active investigation. The Frederick Police Department is seeking any information residents may have to assist in this case. Any residents or businesses in the area that have video footage are encouraged to share that footage to assist in the investigation.
