Due to the water line break on Monocacy Boulevard, residents and businesses throughout the City may be experiencing issues with brown water.
Due to the size of the water line, a significant portion of our community may experience issues as the valves on the water line get restored. If you are experiencing brown water from your faucets, please run cold water for approximately 15 minutes at a time. It may take up to 12 hours for the water to clear up. If the water does not clear up in 12 hours, please contact the Department of Public Works switchboard at 301-600-1160.
