Nominations Open for Frederick County Best Places to Work Awards

Nominations are open for the 2022 Frederick County Best Places to Work Awards. The Frederick County Office of Economic Development, Frederick County Workforce Services, City of Frederick Department of Economic Development and the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Best Place to Work awards celebration in person at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center on July 27, 2022 from 5:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

Any Frederick County business may be nominated by completing a three-question online form. Nominations will be accepted from now through April 30, 2022. Winners will be featured in the August issue of Frederick Magazine and on social media platforms.

Companies are evaluated on a variety of criteria, including employee compensation and benefits, business culture, human resource metrics, and special employee engagement programs.

To support the review of nominations, additional information will be requested from the company’s Human Resources Department or Senior Leadership (must be provided by April 30, 2022). Applicants are encouraged to coordinate with their Human Resources Manager or other leadership staff to ensure the application has all relevant and up-to-date requested data included. Only one nomination form per company is needed.

Winners will be named in the following categories: Small Employer (1-10 employees), Medium Employer (11-29 and 30-50 employees), Large Employer (51-200 employees), and Major Employer (200+ employees). Beyond the five major category winners, additional companies may be highlighted, showcasing unique and special efforts as we head into the new ‘normal.’
