At approximately 8:45 a.m. on Friday, March 25, the Frederick Police Department received a 911 call from a residence in the 1100 Block of Providence Court. Upon responding, officers located an adult female victim who had been stabbed in the upper body. The victim was transported to an area trauma center for treatment.
Officers did not locate a suspect at the scene. Officers from FPD’s Patrol Division and detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are investigating this crime and attempting to identify a suspect. More information will be released as it becomes available. FPD believes this to an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
