Subject arrested for burglary of the Classic Cigars and British Goodies located at 14 North Market Street, Frederick Maryland
On 07-03 2012 patrol units were dispatched to a burglary call at 14 North Market Street, Classic Cigars and British Goodies. Upon there arrival they observed the glass near the front entrance door to be smashed. A brick was recovered inside the establishment. The inside of the store was in disarray and a number of items were stolen including a sum of U.S.currency.
Detectives with the Frederick City police departments criminal investigation division were able to recover and review videotape from the business. From this videotape, and other investigative resources, the division was able to identify the individual responsible for this incident. He was identified as Paul Theodore Dorsey. Mr. Dorsey was located near the K-Mart on Route 40 on 07-05-2012, and was placed under arrest by detectives at the scene for his involvement in this incident.
Mr. Dorsey was transported to central booking and charged with one count of burglary 2nd degree, one count of theft between $10,000 and $100,000, and malicious destruction of property less then $500.
