City employee injured in assault while performing street maintenance

THE CITY OF FREDERICK (8)

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on March 7, 2022, officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to the 400 Block of Willow Ave. for a call for service. Upon responding to the scene, officers located an individual, who was later determined to be a City of Frederick Department of Public Works employee, suffering an injury after being shot with a BB gun.  

This City employee suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated on the scene, declining transport to a medical facility.
