Your Tree Could Be the City's Christmas Tree

As the holiday season nears, Parks and Recreation Department, along with the City Arborist, are working to make various holiday traditions come alive, including the lighting of the City's Christmas Trees at City Hall Park and the 7th Street Fountain. To help with this annual effort, the City is looking for the donation of two trees for 2021festivities.

The City is specifically looking for White, Scotch, Virginia pines, spruces, or firs ranging in size from 20-40 feet tall, in good condition. If you have a tree that meets this description and you would be interested in donating the tree to the city, please contact Josh Dunk, Frederick City Arborist at jdunk@cityoffrederickmd.gov, or 301-600-1233, by November 19th.

The City will come out to your property and remove the specified tree or trees and grind out the stump of the removed trees free of charge.
