With tomorrow's rain forecast, the Department of Public Works is asking citizens to clear the leaves and debris from storm drain intakes near homes and/or businesses and to check periodically to be sure the drain intake area remains free of debris and leaves.
A strong coastal storm will be bringing the potential for severe weather to Maryland over the next several days, including 1.5 to 2 inches of rain over the next 48 hours in the Frederick area. Peak wind speeds will be near 20mph during the day tomorrow with gusts over 30 mph.
