OFC Preece of the Frederick Police Department made an arrest for possession of an intoxicating beverage in Carroll Creek Linear Park.
OFC Preece of the Frederick Police Department was on foot patrol in the area of Carroll Creek Linear park. While on patrol he noticed an individual drinking a beverage from a brown paper bag. He conducting a field inquiry and identified the individual as Karl William Dailey. OFC Preece noticed the bag contained an alcoholic beverage. When questioned Dailey admitted to drinking the beverage while in the city park. Frederick municipal ordinance prohibits the possession or consumption of intoxicating beverages while in city parks. Dailey was arrested and transported to central booking for processing without incident. It should be noted Dailey had been spoken to on several previous occasions about this ordinance and the implications of violating it.
