On Friday May 28, 2021 at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to the 1000 Block of N. Market St. in reference a weapons complaint. Upon arrival, officers learned that a subject, who was later identified as 40-year-old Kevin Eugene Bolinger, exited his residence and demanded members of a utility company leave his property. When the workers, who were legally on the easement to provide services to the utilities in the area, did not comply with his wishes, Bollinger went inside his residence and brandished a firearm and pointed it at the workers, again demanding that they leave his property. Bollinger was taken into custody without incident and charged with First and Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
FPD later executed a search warrant on the residence and removed 23 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
Bollinger is currently being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
