On today’s date at approximately 1422 hrs. officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to Colonial Jewelers at 1 S. Market Street for a reported theft. Upon arrival OFC. Chris Herman received information that a B/M subject entered the store and inquired about an 18K yellow gold Rolex President watch. Upon being shown one of the watches the subject bolted from the store and ran East on E. Patrick Street. Some of the customers in the store gave chase to the suspect but lost him in the area of the Library. Numerous officers responded to the area and canvassed the parking deck, library and Carroll Creek Linear Park as well as outlying areas of the city. The suspect was not located after an exhaustive search. The suspect is further described as a B/M approximately 6’ tall and thin. He was wearing a baseball style hat with a red brim, white tee shirt with Diesel written on the front and dark jeans. The suspect also had tattoos on both upper arms.
