Since the beginning of February 2021, members of the Frederick Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), assigned to the Baltimore Washington High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force, began an investigation into an individual, Calvin Jerome HALL. Information obtained during the course of this investigation indicated that HALL was actively involved in the illegal trafficking and later distribution of several different types of CDS including, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana, all in large quantities throughout the area of Frederick County, Maryland.
Detective R. Bednar then worked with the Frederick States Attorney’s Office to secure search and seizure warrants for both Hall’s apartment and storage unit in Frederick City, Maryland. On 5/10/2021 members of DEU and the HIDTA executed warrants at these locations and seized the following items; 17.22 pounds or 7815.3 grams of suspected marijuana, 190 THC cartridges, 6 jars of THC wax, 13.4 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl, 191.4 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 3.8 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 70.9 grams of suspected cocaine, 532 suspected Alprazolam pills, 1381.3 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, 95 suspected MDMA pills, Suboxone strips and $14,555 in US Currency.

The above and other items located during the execution of the search warrants appear to be indicative of a significant level of distribution and related to the trafficking of multiple controlled dangerous substances. The street value of the seized contraband is in excess of $100,000. Detective Bednar then charged Hall at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center where he awaits an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
