The City is excited to announce that the Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC) meetings are scheduled to restart in a virtual format in January 2021 after being on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Virtual meetings for NACs will occur quarterly until the NACs can safely meet in person on their regular bi-monthly or monthly schedule in concert with COVID-19 guidelines.
To keep the community engaged in planning and development conversations, the city began hosting NAC Planning & Development Presentations each month to keep all NAC residents updated on potential projects in their neighborhood. The city will continue those monthly NAC Planning & Development Presentations in addition to the quarterly NAC meetings.
To view the full NAC schedule, visit the City of Frederick’s NAC website. All NAC meetings will be held at 7PM.
The next Planning and Development Presentation will occur on January 6, 2021 at 6PM. More information, including agendas, are available at cityoffrederickmd.gov/nac.
Additionally, several NACs are looking for NAC coordinators, which is a mayor-appointed position (View NAC Coordinator Job Description). Those interested must live in the NAC for which they are applying to be a coordinator. Interested applicants can submit a letter of interest and a resume to Allen Etzler, Public Information and Community Outreach Coordinator, 101 N. Court Street, Frederick, MD 21701 or via email.
