Snow Emergency Ending at 5PM; Watch for Refreeze Tonight

The City of Frederick will be ending its Snow Emergency at 5PM this evening, Thursday, December 17th. Parking will be allowed along Snow Emergency routes beginning at that time.

As a reminder, the downtown parking garages are free until 8AM tomorrow morning, Friday, December 18th. All cars must be removed by 8AM to avoid paying parking fees. In addition, street maintenance (i.e. street sweeping) has been suspended through 12AM on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, to allow for additional parking options.

The City thanks the community for their patience during our response to Winter Storm Gail. Additional updates will continue to be provided at cityoffrederickmd.gov/snow. Please remain alert on roadways and watch for potential refreezing overnight.
