Frederick Police detectives arrest man for sexual abuse of a minor...
On 3/8/2012, the Frederick County Department of Social Services, Child Protective Services Division and the Frederick Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division were notified of an alleged sexual abuse that occurred in Frederick City. Det. Doug Ames was assigned as the lead investigator in the case.
A minor female was identified as the victim in the case. Through the course of the investigation, Det. Ames determined the suspect, Timothy Beall Robinson (W/M, 12-15-68), had provided the victim alcohol on several occasions and touched her inappropriately. It was also determined that the victim had been raped by Robinson. The sexual abuse occurred between January 2010 and August 2011.
On 6/13/2012, charges were issued for Robinson. On 6/14/2012, at approximately 2015 hours, Robinson was taken into custody by detectives and transported to FCADC without incident.
Due to the sensitivity of the case and an ongoing investigation, additional details are not being released. Robinson is charged with:
1. 2nd Degree Rape
2. Sex abuse of a minor
