October 15, 2020
At about 3:50 p.m. on October 14, 2020, Officers of the Frederick Police Department (FPD) located and arrested Jajuan Michael Anderson. Mr. Anderson had an active arrest warrant for his suspected involvement in a stabbing that occurred in the area of South Jefferson Street and Columbus Avenue on September 20, 2020. Mr. Anderson is currently held without bond at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
Detectives are still attempting to locate the other wanted suspect in this case, Rickey Jamal Wooten. We ask anyone with additional information about this incident or the whereabouts of Mr. Wooten to contact us 24/7 at 301-600-2102. Det. FREDERICK POLICE DEPARTMENT - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 23, 2020
FREDERICK, MD – At 11:39 p.m. on September 20, 2020, officers of the Frederick Police Department (FPD) responded to South Jefferson Street and Columbus Avenue for a disturbance call. Officers located an adult, male victim with a stab wound to his back. FPD officers and Emergency Medical Technicians from the Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services provided treatment at the scene. The Maryland State Police Aviation Division transported the victim by helicopter to a trauma center for further treatment. The victim is expected to survive.
Patrol officers and detectives conducted an investigation. Based on information gathered from several sources, Detective Wolfe applied for criminal charges against Rickey Jamal Wooten, 27, of Frederick, and Jajuan Michael Anderson, 19, of Frederick. A District Court Commissioner issued arrest warrants for both suspects, charging them with the following crimes:
- Assault-First Degree;
- Assault-Second Degree;
- Conspiracy-Assault-First Degree;
- Reckless Endangerment.
Police have not apprehended either of the suspects at this time. We believe the victim and suspects know each other, and this was not a random assault. Attached are photographs of the suspects from previous arrests. Their appearances may have changed.
