Wednesday's Storm Causes Damage to Lighting Circuit

During the evening thunderstorm on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, the City sustained direct lightning hits and damage to our lighting circuit. The Department of Public Works will be addressing the impacts of the storm this evening, which may cause street light outages in the area outlined in red below. The Frederick Police Department has been notified and will increase patrols in the area. As always, the Police Department encourages residents to use exterior lighting to support public safety. If you see something, say something by calling 301-600-2100.
