Frederick Police Request Assistance Identifying Person Responsible for Graffiti

The Frederick Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a recent graffiti case. Frederick Police Investigate Graffiti in Downtown Frederick

On June 8, 2020, during demonstrations, an individual or individuals within a group marching in the street spray painted graffiti on several real estate boards, street signs, and buildings.

Graffiti is a misdemeanor prohibited in the Annotated Code of Maryland, Criminal Law Article 6-301, Malicious Destruction and Related Crimes.  Additionally, the City of Frederick Charter and Code, Section 15-43, declares graffiti to be a civil offense.

The Frederick Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding these incidents to contact Detective Stotler at 240-549-4537 or RStotler@frederickmdpolice.org.  Callers may also remain anonymous and contact the Frederick Police Department’s tip lines: to voicemail at 301-600-TIPS (8477), by text message to 240-674-TIPS (8477), or by email at fpdcrimetip@frederickmdpolice.org.
