City Announces Keyword Opt-in for Upcoming Demonstration Updates

The City of Frederick, the Frederick Police Department, and local public safety partners are actively collaborating to ensure the welfare of all residents during upcoming community demonstrations and will be supporting the first amendment liberties of demonstrators. As The City of Frederick continues to reopen from the impacts of COVID-19 and with the planned demonstrations, the return to large crowds to our downtown area is expected. To stay informed on the latest road closures, transit adjustments,  and other public health and safety matters, the City is announcing that residents can opt-in to receive updates by texting JUNERALLIES to 888777 through the AlertFC system.
