Metro Crime Stoppers of MD Highlights Frederick Police Investigations

FREDERICK, MD - Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is currently highlighting two criminal cases investigated by the Frederick Police Department.  The cases are featured at http://metrocrimestoppers.org/.

In March 2020, the Frederick Police Department joined Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland as a participating jurisdiction.  Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland (MCS) encourages individuals to provide information that will result in the resolution of unsolved felony crimes. Persons with tips can furnish information confidentially in three ways:

1. online at http://metrocrimestoppers.org/submit-a-tip/

2. following MCS on Facebook and submitting a tip there. https://www.facebook.com/MetroCrimeStoppersMaryland/;

3. calling the MCS 24-hour toll free hotline, 1-866-7LOCKUP.

Persons furnishing information about a crime or the location of a wanted felon may receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.  

CASE 1: Can you help find this man wanted on rape and kidnapping charges?

The Frederick Police Department is asking for tips that lead to the arrest of 37-year-old Roberto Carlos Campos-Roque.  He is wanted for a kidnapping and a rape that occurred on March 25th, 2018. An arrest warrant was issued on September 20, 2019, charging him with Kidnapping, 2nd Degree Rape, and 2nd Degree Assault.  His current location is not known, and police have not been able to bring him to justice.  Anyone with information on Campos-Roque’s whereabouts to contact Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP, or at www.metrocrimestoppers.org. Your tip could lead to a cash reward of up to $2,000.

CASE 2: Frederick County Cold Case: Who killed William Goines Jr.?

On October 3, 2010 at 3:28 in the morning, Frederick Police responded to the 200 block of Madison Street after getting a report of a firearm discharge.  On the scene officers found William “Bill-Bill” Goines Jr.  He was laying on the curb with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Mr. Goines was taken to an area hospital but died from his injury.  Anyone who may have witnessed the shooting, or has information about the circumstances surrounding Mr. Goines’ death is encouraged to submit an anonymous tip to Metro Crime Stoppers.
