City Parks to Act as Distribution Sites for City Youth Matrix/I Believe in Me School Bucket Drops

Park usage will begin Monday, May 4, 2020, with appropriate safety measures in place.

The City of Frederick Parks and Recreation is shifting its use of parks during this pandemic to support two local nonprofits in their COVID-19 response efforts. Beginning Monday, May 4, 2020, twelve city parks will act as distribution locations for City Youth Matrix and I Believe in Me’s School Buckets.

Park usage will occur per the following schedule:

Mondays

  • Carrollton Park, 455 Center St, Frederick, MD 21701 (11:00 am)
  • Taskers Chance Park, Key Pkwy, Frederick, MD 21702 (12:00 pm)
  • Hillstreet Park, 100 Hill St, Frederick, MD 21703 (2:00 pm)
  • Hillcrest Park, McCain Dr, Frederick, MD 21703 (2:45 pm)

Tuesdays

  • Staley Park, 11 W 10th St, Frederick, MD 21701 (2:00 pm)
  • Riverwalk Park, Schifferstadt Blvd, Frederick, MD 21701 (2:45 pm)

Wednesdays

  • Amber Meadows Park, 201 Amber Dr, Frederick, MD 21702 (2:00 pm)
  • Willowbrook Park, McClellan Dr, Frederick, MD 21702 (2:45 pm)

Thursdays

  • Monarch Ridge Park, Swallowtail Dr, Frederick, MD 21703 (11:00 am)
  • Lake Coventry Park, Schaffer Dr, Frederick, MD 21702 (12:00 pm)
  • Baker Park, Fleming Ave, Soccer Fields, Fleming Ave, Frederick, MD 21701 (2:00 pm)
  • Max Kehne Park, 1100 W 7th St, Frederick, MD 21701 (2:45 pm)

To ensure the safety of all in our parks, City Youth Matrix and I Believe in Me will be taking appropriate measures, including limiting gathering to less than ten people; ensuring physical distancing for volunteers and those picking up materials; providing PPE to volunteers; and addition space marking systems to aid with distribution flow.

Los parques de la ciudad de Frederick van a servir como sitios de distribución para la entrega de la cubetas de elementos escolares de las agencias City Youth Matrix/I Believe in Me 

Parques y recreación de la Ciudad de Frederick esta cambiando el uso de sus parques durante esta pandemia para apoyar a dos agencias sin animo de lucro en sus esfuerzos para responder a la crisis actual por COVID-19.

Comenzando este Lunes 4 de Mayo de 2020, doce de los parques de la ciudad van a actuar como sitios de distribución para la entrega de las cubetas escolares que repartirán City Youth Matrix y I Believe in Me.

El uso de los parques va a darse de la siguiente manera:

Para garantizar la seguridad en todos nuestros parques, las agencias City Youth Matrix y la agencia I Believe in Me estarán tomando las medidas apropiadas que incluyen limitar los grupos de personas a menos de diez, asegurarse de que haya distanciamiento entre los voluntarios y las personas recogiendo los materiales, también proporcionará equipos de protección a sus voluntarios.
