Water Main Work to Begin on 7th Street

Contractor Mid Atlantic Utilities will be conducting the work under the supervision of the City's Water Distribution Department

The City of Frederick recently hired contractor Mid Atlantic Utilities to perform essential water main reconstruction on 7th Street, spanning from Max Kehne Park to Market Street. This project is critical to the life, health, and safety of residents, as it addresses the aging water distribution infrastructure in the City. The design phase of this effort will start this week.

The City will provide updates as the project continues into subsequent phases. Temporary road closures may result in small travel impacts. The City, Mid Atlantic Utilities, Frederick Police Department, and Frederick Health have collaborated to ensure access to the hospital remains open at all times.

The City thanks the residents for their patience during this work. For questions, please contact Ben Arneson (301-401-0501), Chip Stitley (240-409-1814), or Nicole Harshman (240-344-6852).
