Mayor O’Connor to Update Public on the City’s COVID-19 Response & Debut FY2021 Budget

The briefing will broadcast live tomorrow, Wednesday, April 1, at 9:00 AM.

As announced last week, Mayor O’Connor will hold weekly public briefings on Wednesday mornings to provide updates to the community on the City’s COVID-19 response. These briefings, beginning tomorrow, will be moved to 9 AM. Previously, they were scheduled for 10 AM.

Tomorrow’s briefing, in addition to COVID-19 updates, will outline an adjusted FY2021 budget timeline and process due to COVID-19-related public meeting postponements.

The public briefing will be broadcasted on Channel 99, streamed on Channel 99 Online, and streamed on Facebook Live. A recording and scripts will be available shortly after the briefing ends.

Since declaring a State of Emergency on March 13, 2020, Mayor Michael O’Connor and The City of Frederick have been committed to maintaining operations that are critical to the life, health, and safety of our residents. The City has also focused on the delivery of all additional City services through alternative means to keep City employees and the public safe.
