Frederick Police Investigate Stabbing
FREDERICK, MD – At about 7:30 p.m. on March 17, 2020, the Frederick Police Department (FPD) received a report of a disturbance in a residence in the first block of McMurray Street. As officers were responding, an officer located the victim of an apparent stabbing. The victim was in a vehicle headed north bound in the first block of South Court Street. Officers confirmed that the victim, an adult male, had just been at the location of the disturbance. Emergency Medical Technicians treated the victim, and had him transported to an area trauma center. He is currently in stable condition.
Detectives are conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident. It appears that the persons involved are known to each other, and there is no threat to the public. South Court Street was closed for approximately an hour, but has re-opened.
