Congratulations to The City of Frederick’s Sustainability Manager, Jenny Willoughby, who was recently named Land Manager of the Year by MORE, The Mid-Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts. Jenny was recognized for her long-term work with MORE on the Frederick Watershed trails.
According to MORE, with Jenny’s leadership and dedication of resources, The City of Frederick and MORE engaged 244 residents for 2290 volunteer hours in 2019, received $58,500 in MORE grant funds via the Recreation Trails Program grant, and completed 5 miles of new trail construction and maintained 40+ miles of trail.

Jenny began her role at The City of Frederick in 2014. As the Sustainability Manager, she and the Sustainability Committee aim to provide guidance on and lead projects that maintain a balance between the economic, social, and ecological needs of residents and businesses for today and future generations.
MORE is a nonprofit organization representing thousands of Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia mountain bikers with a mission to build an inclusive grassroots mountain biking community and organization with the express purpose of expanding riding opportunities and increasing trail access throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
