The roundabout, which is part of the Christopher’s Crossing roadway construction project, will open around 5 PM tomorrow.
The roundabout portion of the Christopher’s Crossing (Sanner) roadway construction project, which connects Poole Jones Road and Walter Martz Road, is scheduled to open to traffic at approximately 5 PM on Friday, January 24, 2020.
C. William Hetzer Inc. has completed a stormwater management facility to finish work in the roundabout. They have also completed work on the base asphalt and curbs to provide a smooth and safe roundabout. Temporary pavement markings and traffic pattern signs have been installed. Road closed and detour signs are still present. They will be removed by C. William Hetzer Inc. early next week.
The City advises travelers to use caution when using the roadway as traffic patterns have changed. The area is still an active construction site.
The connection of Christopher’s Crossing from the existing terminus in Clover Ridge to the intersection of Poole Jones Road/Walter Martz Road/Christopher’s Crossing is scheduled to be completed by the beginning of June 2020 and is currently ahead of schedule.
