Frederick Police Make Arrest for Assault
FREDERICK, MD - On Sunday, December 1, 2019, at approximately 4:05 pm, the Frederick Police Department received a call for an assault that had just occurred in the 1400 block of Pinewood Drive. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female and one-year-old infant with head and facial injuries.
The victim stated that while she was holding the infant, Jaijuan Anderson, age 19, of the 1400 block of Pinewood Drive, struck them with a lamp causing injury to both her and the infants, head, and face.
Both victims were transported to a local area hospital for treatment of their injuries. Anderson was arrested at the scene and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with:
- Assault 1st degree (assault with other weapon)
- Assault 2nd degree (assault with other weapon)
- Reckless Endangerment
