Frederick Police Respond to Armed Robbery and Barricade
FREDERICK, MD - On today’s date at approximately 10:49 am, the Frederick Police Department responded to the 1300BLK of Motter Ave for a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers encountered the victim suffering from obvious signs of an assault. The victim knew the suspects and was able to point out the apartment that the incident occurred and that the suspects were still believed to be inside.
FPD located the apartment and had reason to believe the suspects were in the apartment and armed. After the occupants of the apartment refused to speak to law enforcement and with the belief, there were possibly weapons inside the residence, the Frederick Police Department activated their Special Response Team and Crisis Negotiation Team. After approximately an hour and a half of discussions with the individuals inside the residence, five adults exited the residence and were taken into custody without incident.
All five adult residents were taken to FPD HQ for questioning. After questioning the below named three male suspects were transported to the FCADC for processing for the below charges. One of the adult females was taken to a local medical facility for evaluation. The victim was also transported to a local medical facility and later released with minor injuries.
