Directed Patrol Team Makes Drug Arrest in Downtown Frederick
FREDERICK, MD – On Friday, October 25, 2019, at approximately 11:03 am, the Frederick Police Department’s Directed Patrol Team Officers responded to the unit block of Carroll Creek Way for a complaint of suspected drug activity.
When officers arrived on the scene, they observed a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) in plain view. As officers made contact with Melvin Brison, age 28, of no fixed address, he assaulted an officer and attempted to flee on foot. Brison was taken into custody after a brief struggle and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with multiple offenses.

- Possession not marijuana (heroin)
- Resisting arrest
- 2nd degree assault
- Possession of drug paraphernalia (X2)
- Possession of Spice
