Celebrate National Night Out With FPD On Tuesday, August 6
FREDERICK, MD - Millions of neighbors will take part in National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6 across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories, and military bases around the world. In Frederick, join the Frederick Police Department from 6-9 pm at Carrollton Park, Hill Street Park, Mullinix Park, and in the Lucas Village Community.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It also provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together to socialize.
“National Night Out is an opportunity that allows our officers to interact and get to know our community members in a fun and relaxing environment. This event promotes a sense of neighborhood spirit that focuses on crime prevention awareness and making our city a better place to live, work and play,” commented Chief Ed Hargis. “We encourage all our residents to come out and visit one of our four National Night Out sites in the city.”
Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August. Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more.
We look forward to seeing you at this year’s celebrations!
