Frederick Police to Host Law Enforcement Torch Run
FREDERICK, MD – On Friday, May 31, 2019, the Frederick Police Department will be hosting the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Maryland. Registration for the run will begin at 11:00 am, with the event starting at 11:30 am. The Torch Run will start at the Frederick County Courthouse, 100 West Patrick Street and then the participants will run or walk the 1 mile along Carroll Creek and the event will conclude at Baker Park (bandshell) with food, drinks, and music.

Since its inception in 1986, the Maryland Law Enforcement Torch Run has raised more than $30 million for Special Olympics Maryland in support of its mission to provide quality sports training and competition to Maryland’s children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
