Frederick Police Investigating Stabbing
FREDERICK, MD – On Monday, April 29, 2019 at 8:25 p.m., an adult resident of Vienna Court in Frederick called Frederick County Emergency Communications. The caller reported that a juvenile male acquaintance had arrived at his residence suffering from several stab wounds to his upper body. Police officers and medics arrived at the residence to provide medical treatment as well as investigate the stabbing.
Emergency medical personnel transported the boy to a regional trauma center. Detective David Dewees, the primary investigator, contacted the 15-year-old boy and one of his parents at the trauma center. Hospital personnel classified the victim’s condition as serious, but stable.
Frederick Police Department patrol officers, detectives, and several Frederick County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an extensive search of potential crime scene areas, but were not able to locate a crime scene. At this time, investigators are in the process of gathering additional information to pinpoint where the stabbing occurred and to get a description of a suspect or suspects.
