Rape investigation leads to CDS Charges
FREDERICK, MD – On today’s date, April 23, 2019 at approximately 3:40 am, Frederick Police Officers responded to the 1300 block of David Lane for a report of a Rape that had just occurred. Upon arrival, the victim was able to identify the residence in which the rape occurred. Officers made contact with the suspect. Later identified as Christopher Alexander. Mr. Alexander was taken to Frederick Police Headquarters and was detained to be questioned about the Rape investigation.
During the course of that investigation, Detectives obtained and conducted a Search Warrant on the David Lane residence. During the course of the Search Warrant, various medications and illegal drugs were located inside the residence.
Mr. Alexander was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital for a medical clearance before being taken to Central Booking. Mr. Alexander was charged with the following;
- 1 count – Possession with Intent to Distribute (PWID) (Not marijuana)
- 5 counts – Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) (Not Marijuana)
- 1 count – Possession of PCP
The rape investigation is still ongoing. It should be noted that the victim was transported to a local medical facility for treatment, but sustained no critical injuries. The Frederick Police Department is asking anyone with home surveillance systems in the area of David Lane to contact us.
