FREDERICK POLICE TO HOST DRUG DISPOSAL EVENT - Saturday, April 27, 2019
FREDERICK, MD - The Frederick Police Department along with the Frederick County Health Department, and the Drug Enforcement Agency will be hosting a Drug Disposal Event on Saturday, April 27, from 10 am – 2 pm at 6040 New Design Road (former Trinity School).
Residents are encouraged to drop off unused and expired medications, which the department will dispose of. All personal information will be kept confidential or you may remove all personally identifiable information from the medication bottle.
Acceptable items include; prescription and over-the-counter medications as well as medical samples, pet medications, and medicated ointments/lotions.
Unacceptable items include; thermometers, IV bags, blood or infectious waste, or oxygen tanks.
The Frederick County Health Department will be on hand collecting syringes and needles. For the safety of everyone involved, any needles and syringes MUST be separated from any medications being turned in at the event.
