Frederick Police Make Arrest in Violent Assault & Robbery (19-21048)


FREDERICK, MD – On March 15, 2019, at approximately 2:54 am, an off-duty Frederick Police Officer was driving home in the area of the unit block of North Court Street, when he found an adult male unconscious on the side of the street.  The officer immediately called for an ambulance to respond to the location.  The male was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his serious injuries.

On March 17, 2019, at approximately 10:01 pm, an anonymous video was sent to the Frederick Police Department through Facebook Messenger. The suspect, now identified as Lavander Disney, age 27, is seen on the video violently kicking and punching the victim in the head and face while the victim lay unconscious.  After further investigation, a second suspect was identified in the incident as Kenyatta Weedon, age 26.  

The Frederick Police Department would like to thank and acknowledge the person who sent the video, as we were quickly able to identify the suspect in this case.

Charges: Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Theft under $100, & Reckless Endangerment    


ARRESTED:      Kenyatta Dewayne Weedon, Age 26, 2600 block Purnell Drive, Baltimore MD

Charges: Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Theft under $100 & Reckless Endangerment
