Frederick Police Investigate Shooting
FREDERICK, MD – At 2042 hours on January 2, 2019, officers of the Frederick Police Department (FPD) responded to a report of gunfire in the 1100 block of Key Parkway. Officers located an adult male who had been shot multiple times in his upper body. As officers began trauma care, emergency medical service personnel arrived, provided care, and transported the victim to a regional trauma center. The victim is currently in critical condition.
A portion of the 1100 block of Key Parkway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected. All roads are now open. At this time, FPD detectives are working to identify the suspect. Although this appears to be an isolated incident, FPD patrol officers will be conducting additional patrols in the area.
