Frederick Police Investigate Report of a Suspicious Armed Person
FREDERICK, MD – At 0917 hours on November 21, 2018, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the 100 block of West All Saints Street. A caller had reported seeing an adult, white male acting suspiciously while carrying a rifle or shotgun. The caller provided a detailed description and direction of travel.
Officers were able to determine that the male had entered a residence in the same block. An officer was able to make contact with the man by telephone. He agreed to come outside and speak with a detective. The information gathered by patrol officers and detectives indicated that the male did not violate the law, was not a threat, and that another occupant in the residence was safe. The male was released without charges.
The 100 block of West All Saints Street was temporarily closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic while officers investigated.
