On 7-19-18 at about 8AM, an officer with the Frederick Police Department attempted to make a traffic stop on a bicyclist who had run a red light, almost being struck by two vehicles. The subject fled and was not immediately apprehended.
At about 2PM, members of FPD’s Street Crimes Unit on a routine check of Mullinix Park observed a subject matching the description of the bicyclist. The officer who had attempted the earlier stop positively identified the subject, who after arrest provided several false names. After his correct name was obtained, he was found to have two open warrants.
The suspect was identified as Jayson Drew Mosley (11-08-1985). He was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center and charged with failure to stop for a steady circular red signal, fleeing and eluding, and making a false statement to a police officer. His warrants were also served on him.
